I picked up SF 1 for a 'nostalgika-playthrough'. The plan was to do TOoD, then BoW and then both campaigns ins SotP. Although i've player TOoD and BoW several times i never finished a campaign in SotP. And now that i am at it i remembered why i always quit the game in SotP. The last 4 hours of the game where like 1 hour actual gaming and 3 hours gambling for spells on dead bodies and chests (i guess u are familiar with the process).

After a gamblingsession of over an hour i finally found out that 'rain of fire' and 'blizzard' are not in the pool of random spells (unlike 'rain of rocks') and only drop in certain chests and only for lvl 17. Now i stopped playing. I am lvl 15 elemental mage with 15 in fire and 15 in ice and i want my damned rainspells.

I heard that one could cheat spellscrolls into ones inventory somehow. Cx one v4 keygen torrent. Can anyone pls tell me how i can do that so i can finally just play and enjoy this game? (the descriptions i found so far where pretty wanky and i am not sure if and how this would work if u run your game on steam) PS: that is one thing SF2 clearly does better. Spellscrolls alongside their lvl (quicly outdated) where a really bad idea to begin with.

I have very good memories of the game too, but now that i replay it more than 1 decade later i realize there is SO MANY GOD.AMN ANNOYING stuff in this game. I was 1 map further than Lianon and i just happen to notice i skilled totally wrong - so back to 10 savegames earlier and 2 maps back and do all the boring sh.t again. Walking is so slooooow.

Killing units before talking to the questgiver, that those units are tied to, completely negate those quests(hello Lianon ghost) - what a f.cking bullcrap - who designed this???? The game gives u total trashitems - either total useless stuff u have already or items that are 6 levels higher or compeltely different class.

Trading - traders have different prices - jea its totally fun running around (we dont do that enough already) and memorizing the prices - brilliant gamedesign. Spells have no description when u dont have them on ur main character.

Spells have no shortcuts. Spells have no time indicators. No information on mainhud how much HP,mana etc. Ur units have Im sure i will come across even more of that, what i consider now horrible gamedesign - i really dont know if i wanna go on. Maybe i should just go with SF2 where some of that stuff is fixed Oh and ontopic - i definately need a trainer for faster movement. I read part of the artmoney-thing already at some point but since it was ancient i wondered if this would still work and i didnt dare trying since it appeared to me as time-consuming as writing a dissertation.

Probably for nothing. If this still works though i will seek the time to get behind it.

THX @RunForRest: Its really not fair to judge a game from 2003 by todays standards. Back then it was a freaking masterpiece and one of my favourite games. It aged well though. And the game certainly is not responsible for you messing up your skills ^^. Originally posted by:Basic gamedesign HOW the game works and especially how the user can interact with it has nothing to do with when the game was released! The controls are just horrible, the pacing of the game is is a nightmare - everything is slow asf.ck. I still like the grafics and the epic battles - for 13 years these grafics are really good.

Regarding the skills - since we cant reskill, this skillsystem is not very well thought through - messing this up is really easy controls and pacing are also children of time. And back when Spellforce: Order of Dawn was released there was literally no game that let you respec. On old games back then it was kind of assumed that you get behind it, screwing characters and read up on stuff yourself to get better.
