Soundtracs Topaz 14 4 Manual Download

I bought a used. Now, the soundcraft website doesn't allow download of.pdf on equipment not in production. They refer to local dealers who can order a user manual which I have to pay for. I don't need a manual to operate the console, but I do have a few questions that I would appreciate if someone could help me with.

The aux/effects returns are on one single jack. Surely it must be a stereo jack, and supposed to be used with a Y-cord for a stereo return from an effects unit.

I'd have paid to get a new UB802, I bought a little Soundtracs Topaz 12-4 mixer second. That said, I don't really use the pres much on the Soundtracs (not the greatest, though I. I've downloaded manuals for similar products from other.

Which is left or right, the ring or the tip? What level do the ins and outs carry? -10dB or +4dB? Is it the same for all in/outs or are, as an exampe, the mains out different? Something else I should think about? Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Let me make some guesses as to your questions, i think the aux returns are mono. Do they have a panning knob? If they do then they are almost surely mono. How many returns do you have? If they outnumber the sends by a factor of 2. Then they are also likely mono. As far as the outputs, my board has an amazing collection of different output types.

Windows

-10, +4 and yes, even 0. The tape output is +4, and the mix out is 0. Cant remember. Point is: you may need the manual, or spend some time testing it. I went ahead and ordered the manual for mine. I think it might be worth it for you as well. Sort of expensive $50.

But it also was a service manual, so if my console breaks down i can give it to the tech. May save time/money in the future. I think i got it from this address: and let me welcome you to the soundtracs club! Great value console.

Really cheap, undervalued consoles. Vyazanij kot opisanie. Decent pres, decent eq.

Tons of features.

I just need your advice on something. I am about to buy a mixing desk for dub music. I m into music for about 14 years, but I have much difficulty choosing. Truth is that I m not only interested in 'right' dub routing, right in/outs etc, but in good / warm sound too. TLA and the 'small' midas models is not my choice as I ve got around 1000-1200 euros to spend on a console. So I am asking for your advice on newer or older models.

My multitrack (will be mpc 4k) 'sends' 10 outs, so i guess I need a desk with 12-14 ins, and 2-4 aux. I m mainly interested in sound in terms of quality, meaning that I won't buy a console that 'degrades' or 'alters' my sound in a bad way, just because it has nice routing, or because it is good for dub! I would like more like a 'flat' choice. Its difficult to find used mci in europe, and I cant judge the newer models of soundcraft / allen & heath cause I live in Greece and nobody has them! I am OFF mackie for sure (due to bad personal history). Also do you think that choosing to record in a 2 track reel 2 reel will 'colorise' my sound, and has greater influence on that than the console, or I should get a descent audio interface and record my mixes in it? I would like your advice in an audio interface too.

(price range on the interface is another 1000 euros) So, thanks a lot in advance I hope you ll help me make a desicion! Since you don't want a Mackie board (which is a pitty cause the EQ is really nice) I would suggest the following: Get an interface with plenty of outs and ins. Do your mixing and fx and such in a DAW and send subgroups of your digital mix to the individual outs of your interface and into an analog summing mixer. Then you record the analog stereo signal back into your DAW and get a nice and deep analog sounding mix with all the bells and whistles of the DAW world. Here are my product suggestions: Interface: Summing mixer: (It's class a, but you can add tube saturation to your liking!).

Yes but in that way I wont be able to do 'live' controlling of my FX units, which is essential for DUB music. I ve got a tape delay and a spring reverb until now. TLA mixer hasn't got aux out.!
